SAFE Block XP V1.1 Passes NIST Test Suite!

SAFE Block XP V1.1 was tested by the University of Rhode Island (URI) Digital Forensics Center (DFC) using the NIST Software Write Blocker Test Suite V1.2 described at NIST Software Write Blocker Test Page. SAFE Block XP V1.1 passed all of the NIST Base Requirements:

SAFE Block XP V1.1 shall not allow a protected drive to be changed.
SAFE Block XP V1.1 shall not prevent obtaining any information from or about any drive.
SAFE Block XP V1.1 shall not prevent any operations to a drive that is not protected.

SAFE Block XP V1.1 further met all of NIST's Mandatory and Optional Test Assertions. Details are in the URI DFC report: Evaluation of Software Write Blocking In SAFE Block XP V1.1.
